Father,
this day I forgot about loving you
and did that which made you turn your face away from me.
Forgive me.
I do love you, Lord.
It’s just sometimes I put you in the smallest part of my thoughts.
Restore yourself in my mind.
Amen.

 
Father,
this day what I wanted was more important to me
than my neighbor’s needs.
Forgive me.
Remind me that when I love my neighbor,
I am loving you.
Amen.

Father,
this day I thought that I needed to harm the one against me.
I forgot that even my enemy was made in your image
and that to hurt them is to hurt you.
Forgive me.
Give me the strength to apologize
(even though I don’t think they deserve my apology).
Give me humility.
Amen.
