Media Mary is a visual journalism blog series by Mary Anne Funk. Mary Anne is a volunteer with Anawim Christian Community and she is a member of the Anawim community home. She has a working background and degree in photojournalism, documentary filmmaking, and visual anthropology.

All of the stories that I share here will be focused on the Anawim community. They will be stories of individuals, couples, or families who are homeless or formally homeless who have been helped by Anawim. They will be stories about community volunteers who dedicate their time to Anawim in the spirit of giftivism. They will be stories about what Anawim is doing in the community. There will be various themes addressed pertaining to homelessness, poverty, and community.
